manipulation and to promote healing.
Physiotherapy treatments are often used to help restore a person's range of movement after
injury or illness. Physical therapy involves exercise of some kind that is specifically designed for the
injury, illness, or to help prevent the future health related issues.
For many people, one of the primary factors is pain relief. Movements often provide pain relief
as well. A physical therapist will provide you with the appropriate exercises not only for the
pain relief but to recover range of motion and strength.
In some of the cases, physical therapy techniques can be painful. It suggests that sensitive
tissues are being irritated or damaged.Bad pain usually happens near or within a joint (knee or
shoulder joint) and because you move too quickly, into an extreme range of motion.
The most common area patients experience bad pain is the low back due to inappropriate
technique. If you are experiencing low back pain during exercise, notify your physical therapist
so that the adjustments can be made.
